Koth is a village in the Ballia District of Uttar Pradesh, India.
==History of Koth==

In accordance with an old journal"Akhbar al Akhyar" written by Abdul-Haqq Dehlavi, this village was initially built by Mir Syed Mohammdad Ibrahim Saheb, the grand Qazi and commandar-in-chief of the royal army of Feroz shah Tughlaq in order to guard the area for defence and administrative purpose. For this purpose the earth of a vast area was excavated and dumped in the center to make it a high hill so that all distant area around it could be taken care of from its top. Raja Majhouli also helped Syed Ibrahim in this task of establishing the royal army center. Late Chandra Shekhar was a native of Ibrahimpatti ((ヒンディー語:इब्राहिमपट्टी)). During any rainy season the excavated area presented a picturisque scene of a large lake around the hill. Although the hill has lost its original height but the ruins are still there and reminds its significant in a non hilly area of plain agricultural land. The inhabitant of this village are the descendant of Mir Syed Ibrahim shah or "Syed Saheb" He belongs to the descendant of Syed Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari whose tomb/Maqbara is situated in Uchh Sharif of Bhawalpunear Multan, in Pakistan. They are Also interrelated by marriage by the descendant of Syed Shahabuddin & Syed Shamsuddin who came from Girdez near Bokhara and settled in Manikpur, Uttar Pradesh, near Allahabad & Mewat(. This is stated in part one page 170 of "Nuzhatul- Khawatir" and also mentioned in "Kanzul Ansab" for Sadaat Naqvi written in the history of "Gulzar Shams". The family Tree reads: Al-Syed Al-Sharif Shahabuddin Girdezi S/O Zainuddin S/O Isa Baqar S/O Nizamuddin abul Ala Mohammad S/O Abu talib Hamza S/O Mohammad S/O Tahir S/O Jafar Tawwab S/O Ali Al-Naqi. This is Also written in the Book "Hayat Karam Hussain" by Prof Hakim Syed Zillur Rahman published by Ibn Sina Academy Aligarh UP India.
